Book Review Chiller fiction Horror fiction

This story has a gothic atmosphere and a satisfying ending. For the first two acts, the mystery inside a boarding school is slowly unravelled from the perspective of 13-year-old Charley. A great deal of attention is given to the maze of tunnels, halls and secret rooms. In the third act, we get action and some gore.
It is YA horror (which I hadn’t realized when I bought it), and it won a Bram Stoker Award. Well written, short and a bit dull.
